I am happy, calm and grounded.  You’ll often find me smiling brightly (dimples and all) sharing my passion and fun attitude towards life. My classes adopt a sensual, feeling nature, inviting students to inquire beneath the surface of the pose, beneath the muscles of the body and into the internal movement of the breath and mind activity.  This is done by bringing awareness of breath in each class and using mindful movement where the poses are held so there is time and space firstly to find the alignment and then to discover the gifts of the pose.

BB 006The classes build strength in the body through the use of standing postures and abdominal exercises, but all poses are adaptable depending on your body’s individual needs on that day.  Props (or yoga toys) are used to increase the number of modifications available.  This is balanced in class with the inclusion of both pranayama (breathing practices) and savasana (final relaxation pose) that have a quiet, meditative and still quality to them.

I am a Forrest Yoga teacher having completed 200hrs training with Ana Forrest in 2015.  In 2016 I did the Forrest Yoga Advanced training adding another 87hrs training.  In 2018 I achieved Forrest Yoga Certified Level 2 Teacher status after handing in a dissertation length piece of work furthering my continual study of yoga.

During school exams, my yoga teaching mum would help de-stress by teaching relaxation exercises (yoga nidra).   From age 20 I regularly attended classes in different styles: including Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa-Flow, Jivamukti, Prana Flow, Anusara and Forrest Yoga.  Now my practice includes attending classes and workshops together with meditation and a Forrest yoga asana practice tailored to my needs on that day.

Come to one of my classes to see this for yourself!
