It’s not done in a forest!
Forrest Yoga is fun, truth speaking, down to earth and sweaty practice.
Ana Forrest developed this style for the modern day westerner. Typically we spend a lot of time sitting at desks and driving cars. For me this caused tight hip flexors and rounded shoulders and means that some of the traditional poses are not easily accessible for beginners. Forrest yoga poses and sequences are designed with this in mind and are adaptable for everyone – yes, that includes YOU.
The four pillars of Forrest Yoga are:
- Strength – Building core strength which translates off the mat as increased confidence and self-worth.
- Breath – Breathing deeply to feel the energy hit of oxygenating the cells of the body and brain.
- Integrity – Practising with love and respect for your body. Asking ‘What can I do today?’ Finding the intelligent edge to explore the pose without pushing.
- Spirit – Get to know your authentic self. Sharing this with the world to live a full and wild life.
